参道入り口には、稲荷神社の特徴とも言われる朱色の鳥居が並びます。
鳥居は、神社へ通じる門や、シンボルとして建っているだけでなく、神社の内側にある神聖な場所（神域）と、人々が暮らす外側の場所（俗世間）の境界を表しています。このほかにも、鳥居には神社の中に不浄なものが入らないようにする「結界」としての役割もあるといわれています。

参道の中央は「正中（せいちゅう）」と呼ばれる神様の通り道です。
参道を歩くときは中央を避け、なるべく端を進むようにされてください。

参拝の前には、「心身の浄化」のために手水を行い、御本殿へお進みください。

Torii-gate

It represents the boundary between secular area and sacred area.

Please purify yourself by water before going to the main sanctuary.

手水の作法

1. 右手で柄杓(ひしゃく)を取ります。
2. 水盤の水を汲み上げ、左手にかけて洗います。
3. 柄杓を左手に持ち替え、水を汲み上げ右手を洗います。
4. 再び柄杓を右手に持ちかえて、左手のひらに水を受けて溜めます。
5. 口をすすぎます。柄杓に直接口をつけないようにしましょう。
   静かにすすぎ終わって、水をもう一度左手に流します。

Purification Font

1. Take the dipper with your right hand and fill it with water.
2. Pour some water over your left hand to rinse it.
3. Shift the dipper to your left hand and rinse your right hand.
4. Take the dipper with your right hand again, and pour water into your left cupped hand and rinse your mouth.Please do not touch the dipper directly to your mouth.
5. Finally, rinse your left hand once more and tilt the dipper so that the remaining water trickles down the handle to cleanse it.

Main Sanctuary

The main deities of Hitotsuba inari shrine is Ugano-mitamano-mikoto. He has been revered and worshipped as deity of business prosperity and ensure the well-being of the family.

参拝の作法：二拝二拍手一拝

1. 神前に進み賽銭を捧げ 姿勢を正します。
2. 背中を平らにし、腰を90度に折り、拝をします。この時の拝は2回行います。
3. 胸の高さで両手を合わせ、右指先を少し下にずらします。
4. 肩幅程度に両手を開き、2回打ちます。
5. 指先を揃えます。最後にもう1回拝をします。

How to pray to Kami

1. Bow twice deeply.
2. Clap your hands twice.
3. And bow once more deeply.

御本殿裏に回られ見上げて頂くと、軒のところに由来となった白うさぎ様と波の彫り物が祀られております。

由来

その昔、大地震に襲われ周辺の神社は津波被害に遭いました。その時、1匹の白兎が当神社に現れ、津波を蹴って当神社を救ったと伝えられております。それ以降、災害からの「守り神」として崇められています。

The legend of enshrined rabbit

About 400 years ago, a large earthquake occurred and it generated a tsunami that caused great damage to Miyazaki. However, the shrine did not get any direct damages from the tsunami because the white rabbit appeared and kicked the tsunami to protect the shrine. From this time, people started to worship the white rabbit as a guardian deity of the Hitotsuba inari shrine.

七福神のお一人で、商売繁昌・海上安全・漁業守護の神様をお祀りしております。
ご参拝後、お宮の前のえびす像を撫でて崇められている崇敬者も多く「撫でえびす」として親しまれています。

Ebisu-Shrine

Ebisu sama is one of the seven gods of fortune. He has been revered and worshipped as deity of business prosperity, maritime safety, and protect seafarers.

金運向上のご利益があると崇められています。
ご参拝後、こちらのご神水でお金を洗うと更に金運向上と云う江戸時代からの習わしがあります。
本来、財宝を洗うことは、心身の不浄を祓い清める「みぞぎ祓い」の行を意味するものです。

※参拝の作法は、御本殿の作法と同様です。

Zeniarai-Shrine

Zeniarai means money laundering. Since Edo period, patrons believe performing the ritual of washing money in the spring water will bring cash flowing in.

松の葉が1本(普通は葉が２本)の『一葉の松』が境内の随所に現存し、一葉の地名の由来になっています。
境内の中を探してみると枝の中に一葉の松葉があり見つけると縁起が良いと言われています。

Sacred pine needles

Usually, pine needles split into two parts, but there are some pine needles that do not split, and they are called Hitotsuba no matsu which mean sacred pine needles. It is also the origin of the place's name. If you look around the grounds of the shrine, you can find the sacred pine needle sometimes, and it is said that it brings good fortune.

The shrine office

You can register for Kigan, and buy Goshuin at the shrine office. Kigan is a Shinto ceremony in which individuals may give thanks or make wishes through prayer. A Goshuin is stamped proof, with caligraphy, of your visit to the shrine.

If you do not have a book for collecting a Goshuin, a sheet-type Goshuin is also available. Please feel free to ask any question, but please note that our guidance will be in Japanese.

古神符納札（お札、お守りなど授与品のお返し）について]

授与品類は、一年間、神様のご神威を賜り、お護り頂いたことへの御礼のお気持ちを添え、神社にお返し下さい。神道では、授与品類は一年経ちましたら、古いものをお返し頂き、新たなものをお受けになることを基本としております。お受けになられた神社へのお返しをお奨めしておりますが、全国どこの神社でも差しつかえございません。

なお、お気持ち次第では、願いが叶うまで身に付けられる。あるいは、良いご縁を頂かれた場合など、お手元に置いておかれても結構でございます。その際は、大切に保管頂き、新たなものをお受けになることをお奨め致しますが、必ずしも決まった形はございません。ご自身のお気持ちに沿ってご判断頂ければ幸いでございます。

当社では、12月31日 17：00より古神符焼納祭を執り行い、それより新年1月15日までご焼納致します。
それ以外の日時でお持ち頂いても、お預かりしておりません。
